Our Story
In 1986, Bill became hooked on farming after helping put up hay on his wife's family's dairy farm. Before long, he was milking cows, delivering calves, fixing equipment, and working the fields. In 2001, Bill purchased his own herd of cattle and started providing beef to family and friends. Overtime, his herd grew and so did the business. We have been selling beef to the community for over 20 years and loving it. Now, with two children of our own, Cate and Mike, our business has truly become a family affair! We aim to not only provide our customers with great quality beef, but build a relationship of trust and respect.
Meet the Team
Bill Plante
Owner/Head Farmer
Bill is the head honcho of our operation and he works day and night to make sure that Plante Farm produces tasty, nutritious beef year round. From baling hay to birthing cows, this man does it all!
Dena Plante
Sales Woman Extraordinaire
Dena is PT by day, sales woman by night (and weekends). When she’s not helping you find the best cut of beef for your next cookout, she’s hiking around the farm with her dogs or toting lemonade and lunches to her family.
Cate Plante
The Farmer’s Daughter
RN by night and farm worker by day. You can catch her helping Bill wrap bales, rake hay, or visiting the baby calves. She is also filling in as our part time sales girl. Stop by to visit her soon
Mike Plante
The Apprentice
Mike is our future engineer and top problem-solver on the farm. He’s learning the ropes of the trade in hopes of one day taking over the family business. You can find Mike trying to fix whatever the boss breaks, that in itself is a full time job!
